John Calvin Stevens (1855-1940) was an architect known primarily for his domestic designs in the Shingle Style and Colonial Revival Style. He designed many homes in and around the city of Portland, Maine. Stevens also designed public and commercial buildings. His son, John Howard Stevens, worked with him in their Portland architectural firm. The Wyman Dam drawing carries John Howard Stevens's intials in the lower right corner. |
